In the context of the cooperation “Schaufenster Baukultur Koblenz” Keramik Laufen AG together with the Chamber of Architects Rhineland-Palatinate invited to an excursion to the Westerwald.

The program included a visit to the clay mining museum in Siershahn and a tour of the clay pit in Meudt. The final point of the excursion was the Westerwald Ceramics Museum, where Dr.-Ing. Marcus Emmel, Forschungsinstitut für Glas – Keramik GmbH (FGK, 3DKeramik) gave an exciting talk on the topic of “Application-oriented research into 3D printing”. Another interesting lecture entitled “Examples of technical high-performance ceramics in innovative sanitary bathroom design” was presented by Oliver Held, Managing Director and Andreas Hillesheim, Head of Product Management, Keramik Laufen AG Germany.
