General Meeting of User Group Additive Keramische Fertigung (AKF) of Deutsche Keramischen Gesellschaft e.V. at 3DKeramik Competence Center
Already in June, 3DKeramik Competence Center invited to the 2nd General Meeting of User Group Additive Keramische Fertigung (AKF) of Deutschen Keramischen Gesellschaft e.V. in Höhr-Grenzhausen. After the welcome by Prof. Dr. Jan Werner (3DKeramik) and the chairman of AKF, Dr. Tassilo Moritz (Fraunhofer IKTS), the activities of the user group were reported. In addition to several company presentations or introductions (including the presentation of 3DKeramik by Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Murat Demirtas), research trends in the field of additive manufacturing could be defined and future needs could be analyzed. To increase the visibility of AKF, but also for the exchange in the field of 3D printing, further networking with associations of similar objectives is planned.
Finally, Lee Klein, M.Eng. and Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Murat Demirtas (both 3DKeramik) gave an insight into the various possibilities of additive manufacturing of ceramic materials during a tour through the premises of 3DKeramik Competence Center at CeraTechCenter (CTC). Here it was possible to have excellent discussions about existing technologies, product properties and the implementation of ideas and goals.
